DESCRIPTION:In response to threats of physical injury\, staff who respond using effective crisis communication can reduce risk and increase safety of self and others. This interactive workshop explores staff responses to a clients underlying motive (i.e.\, fear\, frustration\, manipulation\, or intimidation)\, and how individual identity\, environmental setting\, relational dynamics\, and risk level influence how motives are expressed and interpreted.
