Staff working with clients in memory care settings are probably familiar with client behaviors that include agitation, aggression, confusion, and distress. These behaviors often stem from unmet needs, frustration, or environmental factors. Pro-ACT Principles support staff to respond calmly, prevent escalation, and ensure safety for both the client and staff. This session includes discussion and practice applying Pro-ACT Principles for clients with cognitive decline to create better, safer, and more respectful interactions between staff and clients.
