Renewal Requirements:
To maintain Pro-ACT Restraint certification, each In-service instructor must conduct and report at least 8 hours of Pro-ACT Restraint Certification training per certification year. Check the “Certs” tab of your Instructor Profile to verify your certification and expiration dates. To receive renewal credit, annual documentation requirements must be submitted prior to certification expiration. Late documentation will not be accepted and will result in expiration of certification. To annually renew certification, an In-service Instructor must:
- conduct the equivalent of two complete 4-hour Pro-ACT Restraint Certification In-service Trainings or one complete 4-hour in-service training and plus two 2-hour Pro-ACT Restraint Certification refresher courses.
- submit all required reports prior to the expiration of your certification.
If you conducted the required training submitted accurate supporting documentation by the required date, your Pro-ACT In-service Instructor certification will be automatically renewed for a second one-year period.
Submission Requirements:
The In-service Instructor or Profile Administrator must upload a single pdf file for each training that includes a training cover letter, participant evaluations, and, when relevant, Advantage certificates of completion.

- Each report must be signed and dated by the in-service instructor(s) and include the name and signature of the Sponsor(s) who signed your Instructor Agreement(s). Sponsor and Instructor signatures must be ink signatures or confirmed electronic signatures.
- A Sample Cover Letter is available for your review.
In addition to the cover letter, the file must include:
