The one-day Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Restraint Certification Course is available for those individuals who have successfully completed the four-day Pro-ACT In-Service Instructor certification course and work in facilities where restraint is used.
Participants who take the In-service Instructor Restraint Certification course do so in conjunction with the In-service Instructor Certification. Participants must attend the full-day training to be eligible for certification. No exception will be made. The dress code remains as for the In-service Instructor Certification.
Attendance Requirements: Participants may only attend the Pro-ACT Restraint Certification In-service Instructor course as a fifth day of training immediately following their successful completion of the Pro-ACT In-service Instructor certification. The participants must attend the entire day of training to be considered for certification. No exceptions will be made.
Dress Code: The dress code for participants of the In-service Instructor course is loose, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. Shoes must be flat, with closed toes, closed heels and non-skid soles. Persons who do not comply with the dress code may be excluded from participation, jeopardizing their certification.
Outcome: This course certifies successful participants to train the Pro-ACT Restraint Certification curriculum inside the agency in which they are employed.
