- OPTIONS 553 Half-day Workplace Violence Prevention training focuses on reducing potential crises, regardless of where you work. To register for an OPTIONS 553 training, review the current training schedule and click the date of the class you want to attend.
OPTIONS De-escalation training also makes a collection of customizable, supplemental material available as an additional purchase. These supplemental materials can be used by employers to develop the employer-specific training components necessary to fulfill all requirements for SB 553, Cal/OSHA’s new workplace violence prevention requirements. - OPTIONS 553 1-day In-service Instructor training is a train-the-trainer program for individuals wanting certification to train Workplace Violence Prevention to employees in their organization. To register for an OPTIONS 553 In-service Instructor training, review the current schedule of classes and click the date of the training you want to attend.
At no additional cost, OPTIONS 553 In-service Instructor training includes all supplemental, customizable material needed for employers to develop the employer-specific training components necessary to fulfill all requirements for SB 553. - OPTIONS 553 e-Learning is an online program that meets the training requirements of CA SB 553, Workplace Violence Prevention training. Available to individuals in a single-user format or to agencies and organizations through subscription access. OPTIONS 553 e-Learning will be available November 15, 2024. OPTIONS 553 Course Content. OPTIONS 553 Workplace Violence Prevention training will provide strategies for preventing and de-escalating difficult or dangerous situations with co-workers, customers, and others. The intent of this workshop is to deliver information and immediately applicable skills to:
- deliver strategies for professional and workplace preparation that prevent or minimize the occurrence of dangerous behaviors at work.
- identify triggers and offering alternatives to de-escalate potentially dangerous behaviors at work.
