Participation in Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Recertification training is dependent upon eligibility. To be eligible, an In-service Instructor must have maintained their certification for two consecutive years based on the guidelines in the Pro-ACT In-service Instructor’s manual and must register and pay for the recertification training prior to certification expiration.
Because only certified instructors attend recertification training, participants are provided with an opportunity to collaboratively improve their understanding and presentation of Pro-ACT Principles while enhancing strategies for teaching.
Attendance Requirements: The In-service Instructor Recertification class is a two-day class that reviews all of the Pro-ACT Principles including course content and evasion exercises. Participants must attend the entire 2 days of training to be considered for certification. No exceptions will be made.
Physical Expectations: Pro-ACT In-service Instructor certification requires participation in physical activities that will include, but not be limited to: stretching; balancing; bending; twisting; moving forward, backward, and side-to-side, and lifting arms. An inability to complete these activities will prevent certification.
Dress Code: The dress code for participants of the In-service Instructor course is comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. Shoes must be flat, with closed toes, closed heels and non-skid soles. Persons who do not comply with the dress code may be excluded from participation, jeopardizing their certification.
Outcome: This course recertifies currently certified participants to continue training the Pro-ACT Certification curriculum inside the agency in which they are employed.
Cost: $1,670 per person. A $60 early registration discount may be available.
