Professional Assault Crisis Training
In response to threats of physical injury, staff who respond using effective crisis communication can reduce risk and increase safety of self and others. This interactive workshop explores staff responses to a clients underlying motive (i.e., fear, frustration, manipulation, or intimidation), and how individual identity, environmental setting, relational dynamics, and risk level influence how motives are expressed and interpreted. Using scenarios, participants will learn to adapt their crisis communication to meet client needs, in the moment.
