Workshop – Understanding the Connection Between Trauma and Assault

Client trauma history should influence professional response. But what if we don’t know the history? This 2-hour workshop is designed to provide staff with practical client-centered, trauma-informed approaches for client interaction and response. Whether this is a long-term client relationship or a first-time interaction, participants will learn how to use active and intentional observation to detect subtle changes in behavior and take precautions to reduce the risk of escalation and physical harm.
