Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Training – San Diego, CA
This training will be conducted in San Diego, CA, and is a 4-day Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Certification training plus an optional 1-day Pro-ACT Restraint Certification training. Successful completion of this training(s) certifies a participant to train the Pro-ACT materials to employees of their workplace.

Please note, the Pro-ACT Restraint Certification training can only be taken immediately following an initial 4-day training. Restraint Certification training cannot be taken on its own or independent of a 4-day Pro-ACT training.
Attendance requirements: Participants of the Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Certification course(s) must attend the entire training days to be considered for certification. No exceptions will be made.
Physical Expectations: Pro-ACT In-service Instructor certification requires participation in physical activities that will include, but not be limited to: stretching; balancing; bending; twisting; moving forward, backward, and side-to-side, and lifting arms. Participation in Pro-ACT Restraint certification training will also require kneeling. An inability to complete these activities will prevent certification.
Dress Code: The dress code for participants of the In-service Instructor course is comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement. Shoes must be flat, with closed toes, closed heels and non-skid soles. Persons who do not comply with the dress code may be excluded from participation, jeopardizing their certification.
Workshop – Managing Escape and Avoidance Behavior
This workshop is designed to address the challenge of escape and avoidance strategies used by clients to meet needs. These strategies are typically employed to evade or delay exposure to unpleasant situations. The workshop focuses on meeting client needs through the application of practical, evidence-based staff responses aimed at reducing or eliminating the reliance on escape or avoidance tactics.
